S Y N O P S I S

Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) is a noblewoman who inherits Faraway Downs, a vast cattle ranch, in northern Australia, after the death of her husband.

But Sarah must confront Neil Fletcher (David Wenham) who tried to seize farms from Sarah's hand. Neil is a former subordinate who had been fired due to her cunning action. Neil wanted to take Sarah for livestock farms that could be part of the farm Lesley Carney (Bryan Brown), his new employer. If the ranch Faraway Downs Lesley can be owned farms across the border, the North will be fully owned by Lesley.

Because no other choice, she then followed the advice one of his cowboy named Drover (Hugh Jackman). Drover suggested that Sarah brought all the animals go to Darwin in the hope that these animals can be purchased by the military authorities in Darwin.

Finally Sarah, Drover, Nullah (Brandon Walter) and his loyal relatives, traveling hundreds of miles across the harsh Australian outback heading to Darwin. Through a long journey that's ultimately between Sarah and the Drover grow seeds of love between the both.
