S Y N O P S I S

Clay Beresford (Hayden Christensen), a director at a large company. Clay who have heart defects are living together with his mother Lilith (Lena Ollin), while his father Clayton Beresford Sr. (Sam Robarts), died when Clay was a kid.

Clay's relationship with Sam Lockwood (Jessica Alba), who worked as personal assistant Mrs. Clay. Efforts to marry Clay Sam Clay was opposed by the mother. Eventually they both decided to go and get married secretly.

One day got a call from Dr. Clay. Jack Harper (Terrence Howard), who tells you that the donor heart to Clay. Clay also perform operations without the consent of the mother. When the operation is running, it turns out Clay experienced anesthetic awareness, namely the condition that makes Clay paralyzed, unable to move or speak, but can hear and can feel pain. Clay had to fight the excruciating pain he felt while undergoing surgery. When fighting the pain, the spirit of Clay apart from his body and experienced many things which then opened his eyes that had been obscured by his love to Sam. Clay found that surgery is not running more as a conspiracy to kill him.
